Celebrate Black History Month

March is Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History Month, and there’s no better time to celebrate the accomplishments of the women in our lives and throughout history. In 1987, Women’s History Month was designated by presidential proclamation to honor women’s contributions to American history and contemporary society.  At Chesapeake Utilities Corporation, March is a time to show our appreciation for the hard work, dedication and commitment that women bring to our industry and to the Company.

Dr. Underwood

Our Women’s History Celebration begins with our first virtual Speaker Symposium: Celebrating Women Who Tell Their Stories with guest speaker Janice Underwood, Ph.D., the federal government-wide Chief Diversity Officer for the White House (Biden-Harris) administration. Dr. Underwood tells her story by sharing her experiences and encouraging women to celebrate their accomplishments.
