I’m pleased to serve as the executive sponsor for the new Green ERG. As an organization, we’ve always had a focus on our environment and delivering energy that makes life better for the people and communities we serve. Launching the new Green ERG will have a positive impact on our Company, customers, communities and our personal and professional lives.

Our new Green ERG is a way to unite employees with a passion around the environment and those who are committed to contributing to a better future and reducing the impacts on the planet.

Green ERG

As an energy leader, we understand the unique role that we have in transitioning to a lower-carbon, more resilient society and accelerating climate solutions through our core business operations and day-to-day practices enabling our employees, customers and communities to thrive.

As a leading energy provider for more than 160 years, Chesapeake Utilities has remained committed to the balance of meeting future energy demands and growing our business with delivering sustainable solutions that are affordable and environmentally responsible. This commitment is rooted in our foundational belief that conscientious environmental stewardship is essential to a cleaner environment, better quality of life in our communities and our long-term business success.

For that reason, the motivation to lead the Green employee resource group is my desire to unite employees that are passionate about the environment and committed to reducing our impact on the planet. Our goal is to provide resources, education and opportunities for employees to make a positive impact on the environment. It’s about contributing to a better future for everyone, everywhere.”

Our team values the strength of differences. This cultivates inclusion and drives innovation and creativity. ERGs involve employees who voluntarily organize around a particular identity, shared background or other interest aligning with the mission, vision and values of Chesapeake Utilities.

ERGs enable team members to share perspectives and experiences, advocate for common interests and provide recommendations that support key business objectives. They are a great place to build experiences and skills through mentorship, leadership opportunities and training. ERGs also offer opportunities to participate in community outreach and advocacy.
