DOVER, Del. – Aspire Energy and Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company, subsidiaries of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation, were recognized by the American Gas Association (AGA) as top safety performers in 2021. The AGA Safety Achievement Award is given to companies that demonstrate outstanding commitment to employee and vehicular safety.

Jeffrey Sylvester, Chesapeake Utilities Corporation senior vice president and chief operating officer, commended the subsidiaries on the honors: “Our team members are personally invested in the safety of their co-workers, the general public and the assets they operate. These awards recognize our teams’ dedication to keeping people safe, and the training, attention to detail and care that helps us deliver on that core value.”

AGA formally recognized the 2021 Safety Achievement Award recipients during the AGA 2022 Operations Conference General Session in May.
