DOVER, DE Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (NYSE: CPK) today announced that its President and CEO, Jeff Householder, will take part in a ‘fireside chat’ at the 2019 Florida Women in Energy Leadership Forum (FWELF) being held in St. Petersburg, Florida from December 4-6, 2019. Former U.S. Senator George S. LeMieux will be the moderator for the conversation. The theme for the 2019 forum is “Champions in Energy” with a focus on informing, inspiring and motivating women across the energy industry.

Now in its fourth year, FWELF was launched to celebrate the success that women leaders in the energy industry have demonstrated in growing Florida’s economy and diversifying the workforce. In so doing, FWELF highlights the positive impact of the electric and natural gas industries as large employers and economic developers.

Lila Jaber, Regional Managing Shareholder, Gunster Yoakley & Stewart and the founder of Florida’s Women in Energy Leadership Forum, will provide the opening remarks at the forum and announce the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) Florida / FWELF scholarship recipient.  Ms. Jaber will become a member of the Chesapeake Utilities Corporation Board of Directors on Jan. 1, 2020.

Joining Mr. Householder and Ms. Jaber from Chesapeake Utilities Corporation as participants in the forum will be the following individuals:

  • Beth Cooper, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Corporate Secretary, who will join a panel discussion focused on financial risk and reward and “what it means to be a champion in energy.”
  • Cheryl Martin, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, and Aleida Socarras, former Vice President of Chesapeake Utilities, who will join a conversation entitled “Accepting the Challenge and Carrying the Torch.”
  • Nicole Carter, Assistant Vice President of Customer Engagement and Operations, who will join a panel entitled “Maximizing the Customer Experience is a Winning Proposition.”
