We created the Chesapeake Utilities Corporation SHARE fund in 1983 to help ensure that those facing a temporary financial hardship can pay their energy bills when financial assistance is needed most.
Thanks to donations from Chesapeake Utilities Corporation, our customers, employees, and the community, we’ve distributed millions of dollars in grants over more than 40 years.
SHARING Program Grants
Grants through the SHARE program are available to eligible customers of Chesapeake Utilities, Florida City Gas, Florida Public Utilities, and Sharp Energy once every 12 months.
We have grants for:
- Income-constrained customers who need help paying for utility needs due to a documented financial hardship
- Customers in need due to serious illness or medical circumstance
