Chesapeake Utilities distributes natural gas in Delaware and Maryland to over 110,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers, and owns over 2,100 miles of natural gas distribution mains. The Delaware division continues to extend its distribution system throughout Delaware, including the eastern portion of Sussex County, while the Maryland division is continuing its expansion into Cecil and Somerset Counties.
To support our continued growth, leverage operational efficiencies and provide the best customer service, we have unified our operations in Maryland. Elkton Gas Company, Sandpiper Energy, Inc. and our Chesapeake Utilities Maryland Division are now unified under our Chesapeake Utilities brand name.
